Anyone who has been following this blog may have noticed a lull in the letters posted since July. Unfortunately I have taken a leave of absence from posting because I am having a baby soon and cannot keep up with all the posts. I plan to pick this blog back up where I left off, next year!! Check back then!!

"Dear Ma. This is Helen from St. Louis, the girl I met when I was stationed at Jefferson Barracks. Now just look at her Ma and see if she ain't every bit of the girl I said she was and after you talk to her for awhile you'll find out how easy she is to get along with and also you'll find out that everything I've been telling you is so true. So Ma just treat her as if she was just another one of your precious daughters and see how smooth things will run. OK Ma.
